Esther Moore

Private visitation and celebration of life for Esther Lillian Moore of Grass Valley will be conducted today. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the family plot at the Marcella Cemetery in Marcella, N.J.

Mrs. Moore died Saturday, Feb. 5, in Grass Valley. She was 99.

She was born Nov. 6, 1905, in Marcella, N.J., to Peter and Elizabeth Henderson. She was a homemaker and worked several years at a Firemans Retirement Home as the Director of the Dining Hall. She lived in a house built by her husband and father-in-law in Denville, N.J.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Olive and Thomas McIntosh of Grass Valley; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Lon and Shelly McIntosh; grandson, Wayne McIntosh; great-grandsons Thomas W. McIntosh, Christopher McIntosh, Lance McIntosh, and Harrison McIntosh; nephews, William Rech, Hans Rech, and James Henderson; nieces, Ecla Wellington, Barbara Wright and Deanna Peters. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. Joseph Moore in 1965; brothers, James Henderson, and Peter Henderson; sisters, Beatrice Wellington, and Lenora Rech; grandson, Thomas Joseph McIntosh; and nieces Evelyn Henderson and Margaret Quinn.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
