Environmentalists contribute to rising gas prices

Are you concerned about the high price of gasoline? These ever-increasing prices of fuel are carefully planned and will not stop until the price of gasoline is more than $5 a gallon.

If you think back a few years, we had a lot of independent gasoline stations. The big oil companies either stopped supplying them with fuel or purchased the stations and tore them down.

The big oil companies then started to combine with other large oil companies and created a monopoly. For example, I used to have a Union Oil 76 credit card. When my card was reissued, it was good to purchase Phillips 66, Union 76 and Conoco gasoline. The oil company’s competition has been greatly reduced.

Much of the high price of fuel is due to the environmentalists stopping any oil drilling in Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico and off the shores of the United States. They have also blocked the building of new oil refineries in the United States.

In the past, we feared the rise of communism. Now we should fear the environmentalists who are controlling our government. We should fight to have these controls removed.
