Enjoy Mexican music, food

The New Mexico Bistro at the multigenerational Gold Country Community Center Friday, March 23, features Los Serranos, a traditional Mexican trio. Local impresario Francisco Lovato, who puts on these bistros, will perform a not-to-miss duet with Teresita Juarez Lyon (both shown here). The three-course dinner, prepared in the center’s newly remodeled kitchen, includes chicken and vegetarian enchiladas. All ages are welcome. Win door and raffle items. Dinner and music starts at 6 p.m. The cost is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers; as usual, proceeds support programs at the center. Call 273-4961 for reservations and information. The center is at Gate 2 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, McCourtney Road in Grass Valley.
