Emil Feldman

A visitation for Emil Feldman of Grass Valley will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Chapel of the Angels, 250 Race St., Grass Valley. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Chicago Park.

Mr. Feldman died Monday, Dec. 31. He was 83.

He was born July 22, 1918, to John and Anna Feldman in Grass Valley, where he lived all his life. He was in the Army during World War II, serving in the 957th Field Artillery Battalion in Europe.



Mr. Feldman was a fruit farmer until 1969, when he went to work for Donner Trail Fruit. He retired from the firm in 1984. He was treasurer for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his brother, George Feldman; stepdaughter, Robinette Jewel; stepsons Virgil and Wendell Slaughter; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearlie Mae Feldman; brother, Arthur Feldman; and his parents.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
