Elizabeth Thompson

Graveside services for Elizabeth M. Thompson of Nevada City will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City.

Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday, April 2, in Grass Valley. She was 90. She was born March 21, 1912, in Decatur, Ill., to William and Bertha Whyte.



She married Theodore “Ted” Thompson on Sept. 26, 1927, in Arkansas City, Kan.




She was a homemaker. She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, flower arranging and feeding the deer.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Teddy W. and Linda Thompson of Sunrise Beach, Mo., and Charles W. and Cruz Thompson of Grass Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Rick Lalumondier of Nevada City; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years on Feb. 16.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
