Elizabeth Manley

Services for Elizabeth Jean Manley of Lake of the Pines were conducted Aug. 5 in Novato. Burial was at the Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Manley died Wednesday, July 31, in Auburn. She was 83.

She was born June 28, 1919, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to John Chokie and Caroline Bartus. She graduated from high school.



She is survived by her sister, Sue Schendel of Novato; nephews Jerry Schendel of Novato and Louis Birleffi of Sausalito; nieces Caroline Canney of Moscow, Idaho, and JoAnn Burnett of Novato. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; companion, Walt Wigins; parents; sisters Carrie Hencola, Ann Hofius and Mary Birleffi; and brothers Joe and John Chokie.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-0050.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
