Private family services will be held for Elizabeth C. Leonard of Nevada City.

Mrs. Leonard died Thursday, Dec. 19 in Nevada City. She was 86.

She was born Sept. 1, 1916, in California to George and Elizabeth Colton. She married Hobart Leonard on Sept. 8, 1939, in Berkeley. She was a University of California – Berkeley graduate and a homemaker for 63 years. She loved to work with young people.

She is survived by her husband, Hobart Leonard, of Nevada City; son, Jim Leonard of Evergreen, Colo.; daughter, Katherine Odynski of Reno; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley, CA 95945.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society of Northern California, Grass Valley branch.
