Glover thanks supporters in council race

Thank you to all who voted. Thank you to all who supported. Thank you! Today I take to heart Winston Churchill’s advice. Never, never, never give up.

On November 4th the ballot count for a seat on Grass Valley City Council didn’t go as we had hoped. Sincere congratulations to Vice Mayor Jason Fouyer and Terry Lamphier for receiving the top number of votes from Grass Valley Voters.

However, I am not giving up and am far from being done. There is much work to be done in Grass Valley and I intend to continue serving this great City and doing that work just as I have been. Those beautiful bleachers at Les Eva Field/Memorial Park that were built by the hard work of amazing volunteers still need to be painted. We will get this accomplished in the very near future. I have recently promised to help the American Legion 130 find volunteers to help them maintain the Veteran’s Memorial at Memorial Park. Their membership is aging and completing the tasks of power washing, painting and general maintenance is proving to be difficult for them. We will find volunteers and continue to maintain the memorial to those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. I have learned of the many things that concern the voters in Grass Valley while knocking on doors and asking for votes. I WILL continue to listen and advocate for the right thing and work toward the best and brightest future for Grass Valley.

I will continue to attend Grass Valley City Council Meetings to learn what issues are facing the City so when my time comes, I will be ready to take a seat at the dias and jump right into the business at hand. I will continue to build and maintain the relationships I have had the good fortune to begin with City Staff and Leadership.

My heartfelt and sincere thanks to EVERYONE who supported me during this race. Your vote, donations, words of encouragements, “atta girls”, “Likes” and “Shares” on Facebook all mean so very much to me. Those who came out in all sorts of weather and encountered challenges to help with the completion of the bleacher refurbish—THANK YOU! I have made so many new friends during this process. What a gift! My heart is full and my spirit is lifted because of each of them.

Thank you to all who voted. Thank you to all who supported. Thank you!
