Altieri announces endorsements

Nevada City resident and local business consultant Bob Altieri is running for another four-year term on the Nevada County Board of Education, Area 1.

Having served four consecutive terms on the County Board of Education, Altieri said he understands the important role of the county schools office in providing fiscal oversight to the county’s school districts.

“During my service in education for Nevada County, I have advocated for responsible fiscal management, transparency, quality student programs, and strong support for our schools” said Altieri. “As a Certified Business Appraiser and having worked in upper-level management positions with Bay Area firms, I understand budget oversight responsibilities.”

Altieri has gained the endorsements of many community leaders in his bid for re-election, including former Grass Valley Mayor Patti Ingram, who said, “I appreciate Bob for his dedication and passion to serve. There are not many who have the commitment and expertise he brings to this elected position. I support Bob Altieri — he has the strong values and experience needed by Nevada County.”

“Bob Altieri has been a consistent, thoughtful, and wise voice on the Nevada County Board of Education,” said Wyn and Steve Spiller. “At all times, Bob has endeavored to improve the quality of the educational experience for our children. Bob has our full trust and support.”

Daniel Swartzendruber, president of Tru-Line Builders, says, ”I’ve worked with Bob and I can say that he has a high level of integrity, he’s honest and is a savvy business adviser. He has his eye on our kids, our community and our taxpayers’ money. I thank him for his willingness to serve another term on the Nevada County Board of Education.”
