The election is not just weighing heavily on George W. Bush and John Kerry. In Nevada County, the upcoming presidential election is weighing on contemporary folk musicians Paul Kamm and Eleanore MacDonald, so much so that they will present a “Celebration of Peace, Justice, Solidarity and … Our VOTE” concert Saturday in Grass Valley.

Kamm and MacDonald will be joined by the Little Band, which is Mikail Graham on guitar and Albert Vasquez on djembe, congas, cymbals and hand percussion, on new material to be included on the couple’s eighth CD, which is in the works. In addition, they will update old favorites.

Special guest will be fiddler Liana Campus.

Show time is 8 p.m. at the Center for the Arts, 314 W. Main St.

Admission is $15. Advance tickets are at Love Shack Records, Yabobo, BriarPatch, The Book Seller and online at http://www.thecenterforthearts.com.
