Elaine Hill

Visitation for family and friends of Elaine L. Hill of Alameda will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Memorial services will be conducted there at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Mrs. Hill died Saturday, Sept. 7, in Auburn. She was 58.

She was born May 28, 1944, in Richmond to Raymond and Estelle Jarvis. She graduated from DeAnza High School in Richmond in 1962. She married David Hill on March 6, 1965.

She worked in sales and marketing, and was a longtime resident of Grass Valley before moving to Alameda. She was a strong supporter of the AIDS Foundation. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada with her husband. She enjoyed board games, her children and her dog.

She is survived by her husband, David Hill; son, Danny Hill; daughter, Shaun Hill-Kret; and brothers Dennis and Douglas Jarvis. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Glenn Jarvis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the AIDS Foundation, her favorite charity.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
