Edward Cohan

Edward P. Cohan, 82, of Grass Valley died Monday, Feb. 25. No services are planned.

Mr. Cohan was born Dec. 21, 1919, in Oakland to William and Kathryn (Ryan) Cohan.

He graduated from Fremont High School in Oakland, and was also schooled in advertising and business.

Mr. Cohan was self-employed in the retail furniture business. He was the owner of E.P.C.O. Furniture, Pacific Patio and Comfort Gap Stool Co.

He enjoyed his family, gardening and watching San Francisco 49ers football.

Mr. Cohan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary E. Cohan of Grass Valley; sister, Dorthea Ryan of Moraga; daughters Maureen Trumble of Nevada City and Kathleen Driscoll of Redwood City; son, Patrick Cohan of Nevada City; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother, William A. Cohan, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
