Nevada County library to host open mic night

The Madelyn Helling Library is hosting an open mic night from 5 to 6:30 tonight in the Gene Albaugh Community Room, according to a release.

The library invites the public to drop by to share a story, play a song, recite a poem, or otherwise demonstrate the creativity of the Nevada County Community.

Patrons who were unable to participate in the StoryCorps records are encouraged to attend and share their stories. This is a safe space for listening, telling stories, and creativity.

Sign-ups for time slots will begin when the doors open at 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

For more information, visit the events calendar at mynevadacounty.com/library or call 530-265-7050.
