Memorial services for Edna Evangeline (Richerson) Wallbrecht of Nevada City will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.

Mrs. Wallbrecht died Monday, Jan. 20, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 82.

She was born on Aug. 31, 1920, in Nevada City, to Reuben and Minnie Richerson. She was a second-generation Nevada City resident. She graduated from Nevada City High School in 1938 and attended Placer College in Auburn. She married Alfred Claude Wallbrecht on July 6, 1940. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and visiting with relatives and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Warren of Nevada City; sisters and brothers-in-law Lucille and Charles Stoll of Coloma, Ruth and Frank Gates of Rocklin; sister, Mary Garino of San Diego; brother, Frank Richerson of Rocklin; brothers and sisters-in-law Steve and Vickie Frkovich of the state of Washington and Bill and Ann Frkovich of Roseville; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred Wallbrecht in 1985; Uncle Bill and Aunt Charlotte Casci; and grandparents, Domingo and Mary Casci.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
