Edna Anderson

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 6, at New Elm Ridge Cemetery in Grass Valley for Edna J. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson passed away on March 30 in Grass Valley. She was 86.

Mrs. Anderson was born on May 28, 1920, to Edward L. Kappler and Vernie L. Kappler in Fallon, Nev.

Between 1941 and 1945, Mrs. Anderson served in the U.S. Navy, Yeoman, 3rd Class and on Sept. 1, 1947, she married Harold Anderson.



Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her son, Robert H. Anderson; daughter, Judy V. Anderson of Grass Valley; grandsons Eric Anderson and Jason Scallin; granddaughters Krista and Carrie Anderson; great-granddaughter, Adriana Anderson; great-grandson, Jordan Anderson; and brother, David Kappler of San Leandro. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Harold H. Anderson; son, George E. Anderson; father, Edward L. Kappler; and mother, Vernie L. Kappler.




Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
