Eat pancakes, help the Magnolia Jazz Choir

The Union staff

Saturday, in the Magnolia Intermediate School Gym, a benefit pancake breakfast will be served as the Starmakers Jazz Choir entertains.

Starmakers Jazz Choir is a talented group of 32 seventh- and eighth-grade students at Magnolia School. This pancake breakfast fundraiser is designed to help offset the cost of transportation, hotel and entrance fees for the “5-6-7-8 Show Choir Festival” to be held in Anaheim in early April.

Starmakers Jazz Choir offers students the opportunity to develop and share their talents and dynamic personalities. Each group member works throughout the year to achieve and maintain cohesive vocal balance and dance precision. The choir will perform specialty acts and competition sets throughout the morning.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from the school, which is located at 22431 Kingston Lane, Grass Valley (off Combie Road); from individual Starmakers or at the door. The time of this event is from 8 a.m. to noon.
