DUI checkpoints set for Fourth

Law enforcement agencies from nine Sacramento Valley Counties will continue to conduct DUI checkpoints this July Fourth holiday.

Maximum DUI enforcement will begin Tuesday and conclude Wednesday at midnight. The campaign will combine sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols and public education to prevent deaths and injuries caused by intoxicated drivers.

Fifty law enforcement agencies from Colusa, Sutter, Yuba, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Yolo and Stanislaus Counties have teamed up in a joint DUI enforcement campaign in the Sacramento Valley. Regional enforcement operations also are being conducted throughout California.
