Nevada County can expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with patchy fog in the morning and clearing skies by the afternoon with a high around 61, according to National Weather Service forecaster Karl Swanberg. “There will be northeasterly winds at 5-15 mph in the morning,” Swanberg said. “And we’ve got some patchy late-night fog Friday night through Saturday morning, otherwise mostly clear skies.”

The low Friday night will be around 40 degrees, and the high Saturday will be around 57.

“A higher-pressure system is moving in and trying to clear out low clouds in the valley and foothills, and we are kind of in the drying process now,” Swanberg said.

No rain is expected for the weekend, but there could be some patchy areas of late night and morning fog. There is no precipitation, so snow is not expected.
