DOROTHY STACY

Dorothy June Stacy died May 18 at her home in Grass Valley. She was 84.

Her family will hold a celebration of her life memorial service at sea, off the coast near Carmel, on her 85th birthday, June 30.

Mrs. Stacy was born June 30, 1923, in Norman, Okla., to Robert Clark Hodges and Ira Lucinda Clemmons. She graduated from Shawnee High School. She married Col. Charles F. Stacy on August 14, 1943 in Oklahoma.



Mrs. Stacy was a homemaker. Her passion in life was her husband, children, grandchildren, and a loving circle of friends. Married to a pilot, she lived in many different places where she always created valued friendships throughout her lifetime. She loved poetry, the arts, Bible verses, books and new ideas.

Mrs. Stacy is survived by her daughter, Cindy Hoffman of Nevada City; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Wanda Stacy of Cheyenne, Wyo.; daughter and son-in-law, Lissa and Bill Boonenberg of Castle Rock, Colo.; grandsons Ryan Hoffman of Santa Cruz, and Sydney and Dante Cooper, both of Cheyenne, Wyo., and granddaughters Mandy Boonenberg of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Brooke Boonenberg of Castle Rock, Colo.




She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles F. Stacy.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
