Dorothy Foster

Dorothy G. Foster, 86, of Grass Valley died Thursday, Jan. 22, at Golden Empire Convalescent Hospital.

No services are planned.

Mrs. Foster was born April 1, 1917, in Meade, Kan., to James Byrns and Florence Lennen Byrns. She graduated from Franklin High in Highland Park. She attended Los Angeles Junior College. She married Stanton C. Foster in Los Angeles. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Foothills Women’s Club. She enjoyed reading, bingo and pinochle.



She is survived by her daughter, Carol J. Wilson of Grass Valley; son, Steve Foster of Maui, Hawaii; sister, Mary Wolfe of Newburry Park; granddaughter, Andrea Carroll of Maui; and great-grandchildren Avalon Carroll, Cooper Carroll and Lilikoi Carroll, all of Maui. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanton C. Foster.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
