Doris Walcom

Doris Marie Walcom, 94, of Grass Valley died Tuesday, Sept. 14, at home.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.

Mrs. Walcom was born March 1, 1910, in San Francisco to William and Catherine (Gallagher) Koesel. She married Jack Walcom on Oct. 19, 1934, in Burlingame. She worked for Mills Hospital in San Mateo and Levy Bros. Department Store. She and her husband, Jack, enjoyed dancing.



She is survived by her sons Jerry Walcom of San Carlos and Wayne Walcom of Antioch; daughter, Judi Wade of Grass Valley; son-in-law, Bruce Wade of Grass Valley; daughter-in-law, Rene Walcom of Antioch; grandchildren Doug Walcom, Becky Cameron, Suzy Schmitz, Dan Schmitz, Julie Marquart, Ryan Walcom, Evan Walcom and Quinn Walcom; and great-grandchildren Colin and Brooke Marquart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Walcom; daughter-in-law, Kathy Walcom; and brothers Charles Arthur and Lester Benham.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine of Our Lady of Peace Maintenance Fund, 2800 Mission College Blvd., Santa Clara 95054.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
