Dori Hawks

Dori L. Hawks, 56, of Paradise, died Monday, Jan. 6, in Paradise. No services are planned at this time.

Ms. Hawks was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Elmhurst, Ill., to Franklin “Ben” and Doris Hawks. She graduated from Whittier High School in Whittier. She worked as an executive secretary for 30 years and worked briefly for Tektronix in Nevada City. She was an avid reader and computer user. She enjoyed her grandchildren. She attended Jubilee on the Ridge Church in Paradise.

She is survived by her mother, Doris Hawks of Oceanside; daughter, Tamara Kopyszko of Lakewood, Colo.; son, David Kopyszko of Chico; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Nick Ortiz of Nevada City; sister-in-law, Clastine Hawks of Vallejo; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin “Ben” Hawks; brother, Franklin Deane Hawks; and ex-husband, Anthony Kopyszko.
