Dora Luthage

Dora D. Luthage, longtime Grass Valley resident, died Feb. 29 in Roseville. She was 87.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Grass Valley Methodist Church.



Mrs. Luthage was born in Wyoming. She was active in her church and volunteered at the Golden Empire Convalescent Home. She enjoyed gardening and reading.

Mrs. Luthage is survived by her daughters Marie Cummings, of Grass Valley, and Shirley Whitacre, of Cottonwood, Ariz.; son-in-law, Carl Whitacre, of Cottonwood, Ariz.; granddaughter, Traci Winters, of Monterey; grandson Lt. Jay F. Magers Jr., of Livermore, and four great-grandchildren.




She was preceded in death by her son, David Langford, and husband, Bernard Luthage.

Memorial contributions may be made to Feed the Children and Salesian Missions.
