Donald Stouder

Private family services for Donald J. “Jack” Stouder of Grass Valley have been conducted.

Dr. Stouder died Thursday, March 17, in Grass Valley. He was 72.

He was born July 28, 1932, in Denver, Colo., to Donald and Eleanor Stouder. He served in the U.S. Navy, and graduated from the University of Colorado of Medical School in 1960. He married Jane on Nov. 9, 1951, in Englewood, Colo. He was chief pathologist at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and Auburn Faith Hospital, most recently retiring from Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Nevada County Camera Club, and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. He enjoyed R.V. travel, photography, especially flowers. He also enjoyed sports, and watching his favorite team, the Denver Broncos.



He is survived by his wife, Jane Stouder of Grass Valley; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Kris of Auburn, and David and Mary Sue of McKinleyville; daughters and sons-in-law Mary Ann and Kevin McCool of Live Oak, and Carol and Dan Jimerfield of Auburn; sister, Shirley Allen of St. George, Utah; 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, Cancer Center.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
