Donald Martin

Donald “Donny” Paul Martin, son, brother, uncle and best friend, was born on Dec. 11, 1965, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and he left us to fight bulls in “God’s Rodeo Arena” on July 1 from a Reno, Nev. hospital due to injuries he sustained on June 15 at the California State High School Rodeo Finals in Bishop. He was doing what he lived for and loved the most.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m., July 11, in Cottonwood. Another celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m., July 19, in Penn Valley. Call Jeff Davis at (530) 347-4597 for more information.

Mr. Martin is survived by Mary “Mom” and Hal “Pops” Novak and family; Jim “Dad” and Debbie Martin and family; twin brothers Logan Martin and Larry Martin, wife Lena and their children Kaylin, Ryan and Jaron Martin; sister Pam Farinha and family; and sister Lorrie Casarez and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Donny Martin Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1027, Cottonwood, CA 96022.
