Donald Lene

Memorial services for Donald Michael Lene of Colfax will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Grass Valley Church of Christ, 602 Whiting St.

Mr. Lene died Monday, March 18, at home. He was 57.



He was born Feb. 28, 1945, in Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1968 during the Vietnam War. He was a long-time resident of California and had lived in Colfax for nine years.




He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Grass Valley Church of Christ. He enjoyed his family, church family, friends and painting.

He is survived by his wife, Aviva; son, Donovan; stepsons Thomas, Mitchell and Erich; daughters-in-law Jennifer, Isela and Karen; father, Willard; brother, Will; sisters Amy Norris and Angie Bolton; and grandchildren Tabitha, Jedadiah, Jack, Marcus and Elana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ’s youth activities.
