Domestic Violence Coalition holds fundraiser

The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition is holding its third annual fundraiser Friday at Miners Foundry in Nevada City. This year “Masks” is the theme; prizes will be given out for best masks by celebrity judges including Grass Valley Chief of Police John Foster, The Union Publisher Jeff Ackerman and Deputy District Attorney Katy Francis. You don’t have to be a superhero, but you can dress like one.

Dance to The Nite Train Revue. Auctions, both silent and live, include lunch for two with Gen. Chuck Yeager at the New Moon Café, a tamale fiesta for 30 from Maria’s, and two nights at the Donatello in San Francisco with dinner at Fior D’Italia and tickets to “Beach Blanket Babylon.” Come as you are or come undercover. Tickets are $25 in advance or $45 a couple. Call the DVSAC office at 272-2046 for tickets and more information.
