Dolores Kistle

Services for Dolores Rockerfeller Kistle of Nevada City will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City. Burial will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Nevada City.

Mrs. Kistle died Thursday, Nov. 28, in Nevada City. She was 76.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1926, in Nevada City, to Clarence Leonard Rockerfeller and Gladys Fern Ogden. She married Roy Mitchell Harris and then Oscar A. Kistle. She was a legal secretary for the District Attorney of Sacramento County for 20 years. She was a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West for 30 years, the Tuesday Club of Sacramento for 26 years, Judges Wives of Sacramento County, Trinity Cathedral Church for 30 years, A Light Arts in Sacramento, the Crocker Art Museum for 20 years and the Sport Travel Leisure Club of Sacramento. She enjoyed traveling and being with people.

She is survived by her sister, Ferne Snow, of Grass Valley; daughter, Michelle “Moe” Harris of Nevada City; granddaughter, Brhieanna Lydia Sites; grandsons, Damen Levesque Neue and Forrest Brochman Neue; and great-grandson, Zyon Dean Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Oscar A. Kistle.

Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Unity in the Gold Country.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
