Ditch the insults, open your mind

Why is it the most ignorant among us have the loudest voices? There seems to be an endless supply of insults, innuendo, and disrespect for the Office of the President. It is shameful that these people use zealot disc-jockey sound bites and half-truths to create or falsify reality to satisfy their positions.

Using terms like “comrade,” “socialist” and “racist” toward the president is despicable.

While I don’t agree with all the decisions of this administration, clearly they are not to be blamed for the current budget deficits, as this is the result of the many poor decisions of the last administration. Calling the money for stock assistance provided to the auto industry “nationalization” is ridiculous. Taxpayers own shares in these businesses, as do

the current shareholders of record.

Allowing the financial community to create “new products” with ever higher risks, as well as 15 years of off-shoring jobs, are more to blame than the last 12 month’s efforts to restore our economy. We need intelligent, balanced and concerned citizens writing with ideas and solutions, rather than the stupid rhetoric. Closing minds to new ideas and change are not a good way to support our (your) country.
