Diaz clearly the one

Politics in Nevada County has become so polarized in recent years that it is essential to have supervisors who represent all the people, not just a few special interest groups. Olivia Diaz is clearly the one candidate in District 1 committed to this standard.

She has proven herself a fair-minded listener who will remain open to the issues of small business and property rights while protecting the environment and advocating for reasonable population growth.

Olivia’s opponent has several newspaper columns on public record in which he denigrates those with whom he disagrees. Considering that he is running for a nonpartisan public office, this makes it quite unlikely he would be open to considering viewpoints different from his own. Further, his expressions of outrage at being directly quoted are troublesome to me. I fear that, if elected, he would greatly exacerbate the unnecessary acrimony that already exists in the local politics of Nevada County.

For these reasons, I urge all voters to elect Olivia Diaz for District 1 supervisor.
