Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty is pleased to announce that Diann Patton was chosen to be 2002’s Realtor Associate of the Year by the Nevada County Board of Realtors. This award represents the most prestigious honor a Realtor can receive because it is based on hard earned respect from co-workers and peers within the real estate community.

All those who know Diann see her as a person who manages to effectively juggle career and family and successfully wear a variety of hats. Not only is she a full-time real estate professional with a husband and two daughters, but this past year Diann became the manager of Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty. Her responsibilities include staff supervision, overseeing systems and technology, and assisting and training agents in their day to day activities.

She remains an active member of the Nevada County Board of Realtors, serving in recent years on both the MLS and Constitution & Bylaws Committees. She also generously gives of her time to numerous community and professional organizations including Relay for Life, the MS Walk and coaching soccer.

Having had to deal with personal adversity in her life, Diann has managed to come through it all as a stronger individual with a greater zest for life. In everything she does, Diann exhibits tremendous inner strength, integrity, honor and a sense of fair play.

Born in Walnut Creek, Diann was raised in Nevada County and graduated from Nevada Union High School. She lived in the Bay Area for a number of years before returning home to Nevada County to practice real estate and raise a family.

Soccer and skiing are among her interests. She is also a private pilot, but with all the different hats she wears, she has not flown for quite a while. Diann loves to laugh and is fiercely competitive in sports, even playing with an injury that would have sidelined most players.

“Once again,” says Rick Dejesus, co-owner of CBGRR, “it is an honor to have one of our agents recognized by their peers for a job very well done. Congratulations go out to Diann from all of us at Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty.”
