Diana Vasey

Diana L. Vasey died Tuesday, Aug. 24, at her home in North San Juan. She was 64.

No service will be held.

She was born Aug. 5, 1946, in Nevada City. She attended grade school in North San Juan and graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1964.



She was employed at Peterson’s Corner, Babe’s Saloon and Bigley’s Market, all in North San Juan; and at the Bret Hart Hotel and Tri Continent Industries, in Grass Valley.

Ms. Vasey was a devoted homemaker. She loved fishing, hunting, camping, bowling and baseball, after retiring; and she enjoyed various types of puzzles.




She is survived by her boyfriend, Keith Sonke of North San Juan; son, Micheal Bayles and his wife, Patti Yerington, of Nevada; daughter, Toni (Jason) DeMaria of Bullhead City, Ariz.; brothers, Raymond Webster of Napa, Calif., and Daniel Webster of Boston, Mass.; and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and grandchildren.

Ms. Vasey was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jane Zobel, and father, Harvey Eugene Webster.

Funeral arrangements are by Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
