Denise Heggestad

Graveside services for Denise Heggestad of Grass Valley will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grass Valley. Pastor Andy Owens will officiate the services.

Mrs. Heggestad died Friday, April 8, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 53.

She was born July 24, 1951, in Southern California, to Gene and Pearl Galbraith. She graduated from high school in Southern California. She married Rick Heggestad on Dec. 24, 1990, in Grass Valley. She was a waitress. She enjoyed dogs, flowers, collecting miniatures, elephants, and paper weights, and the “Wheel of Fortune” slot machine.



She is survived by her husband, Rick Heggestad; father, Gene Galbraith; mother, Pearl Galbraith; son, Michael Prado; and brother, Gary Galbraith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Galbraith in 2003.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
