Democratic Women’s Club honors citizens for Women’s History Month

The Nevada County Democratic Women’s Club has announced a new location for its monthly first Saturday breakfast meeting at 9:30 a.m. March 2 in the Atrium Room at Tofanelli’s Restaurant on West Main Street in Grass Valley. Breakfast menu items for $12. The program will feature a dramatic salute to Mr. and Mrs. Sargeant of Nevada City and their role in the movement for women’s right to vote. The presentation was written in honor of Women’s History Month by local writer Bill Trzeciack and directed by Judy Blake. Members and guests should make reservations by calling Janet Reynolds at 530-432-4003 or by emailing janetdreynolds@yahoo.com by Monday.
