David Person

David Edmund Person, 85, of Penn Valley died Friday, Jan. 31, in Grass Valley.

No services are planned. Burial will be at the Penn Valley District Cemetery.

Mr. Person was born on Jan. 19, 1917, in Harvard, Neb., to Gracia and Albert Person. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He was a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Eastman Kodak Processing Laboratories for 44 years and was a traffic manager in Palo Alto. He was a member of the Lake Wildwood Golf Club. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, photography and joking around.



He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Inez Person of Penn Valley; son and daughter-in-law, James and Anita Person of Grass Valley; and daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Fletcher Gardiner of San Jose.

He was preceded in death by his brother Paige and his sister Lucille.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
