Dance to the oldies and help Telecare

What could be better than dancing to great rock ‘n’ roll music, especially after a day of admiring classic cars and hot rods? Maybe it is also knowing that the money you spend at the dance goes to an excellent cause: providing transportation for Nevada County seniors and people with disabilities.

Gold Country Telecare is hosting the dance on Saturday night at the Elks Lodge. Telecare is a homegrown Nevada County private nonprofit agency that includes T.H.E Van Program, which provides low-cost transportation to a variety of community health services including cancer treatments, outpatient therapies, and rehabilitation programs; and the Neighbor-To-Neighbor Volunteer Driver Program, which provides rides for passengers living outside the regular Telecare service area.

The evening includes a raffle. Tickets are $10 or two for $18 and may be purchased at the door or through Telecare and a no-host bar.
