Dance to the Mad Dash Oldies Revue

Were you born before 1950? Do you like to dance to the oldies?

This Saturday, 3-5 p.m., following the Grass Valley Car Show, the Mad Dash Oldies Revue will be playing in front of the Sweet 50’s Diner at 204 W. Main St.

The Mad Dash Oldies Revue is a local seven-piece band, led by Michael Gregory, that features female vocalists Aimee Wild, Britni Fitzgerald, and newcomer Heather Mashler. The Oldies Revue features ’50s through ’60s’ dance tunes with doo-wop harmonies and dance routines – right down to the bowling shirts – and great surf tunes.

Says Gregory, “We put this particular show together because most bands today really don’t know the oldies songs from having lived through that era. I grew up singing and playing those tunes as a child. …”

Mad Dash fans will be happy to know that the group will also be playing at the upcoming Nevada Union All-Class Reunion and the Annual Independence Day Celebration at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
