Cyril Flannigan Jr.

Private services for Cyril John “Jack” Flannigan Jr. of Hayward will be conducted. Interment will be at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.

Mr. Flannigan died Thursday, Aug. 19. He was 75.

He was a native of Detroit. He retired after 27 years from Bechtel Corp. where he worked as a Civil Engineer. He lived all over the world, including Washington, D.C., Saudi Arabia and Taiwan. After retirement, he and his wife, Joan, moved to Grass Valley where they lived for 12 years. He was an officer with the Nevada County Democratic Committee.



He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan Ann Flannigan, of Hayward; daughters Cathleen Hurst of Newark, Colleen Flannigan and Jane O’Hollaren, both of Fremont; sons Patrick Flannigan of Idaho and John Flannigan of Georgia; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Machado’s Hillside Chapel in Hayward.
