In September, Bobbi Giudicelli decided to sell her two Culture Shock Yogurt & Gourmet Popcorn Bar stores to pursue a snack-food business venture.

As of Oct. 28, Janna and Reed Schreiter purchased the Auburn and Grass Valley shops.

The new owners — who have lived in Nevada City for five years and have four kids, two of whom attend Nevada Union High School — said they frequently visited Culture Shock, and appreciate how Giudicelli ran the business.

“Bobbi (Giudicelli) has just been hand-in-glove with us,” said Janna Schreiter. “We love what she’s done with the community.”

The co-owners will continue their day jobs — Reed Schreiter is an attorney, Janna a nurse — while managing the shops.

The two plan to keep the integrity and legacy that Giudicelli built, including retaining the seven employees who work at the shops in Auburn and Grass Valley.

“We’re just so thankful that they decided to stay with us,” said Janna Schreiter.
