Police blotter: Missing parrot

Monday

7:58 a.m. — A caller on the 200 block of Chapel Street reported three abandoned children’s bicycles in the driveway.



8:55 a.m. — A caller reported a large transient camp behind a business on the 2100 block of Nevada City Highway. 9:34 a.m. — A caller reported graffiti in the bathrooms at a park on the 400 block of Central Avenue.

9:36 a.m. —A caller on the 100 block of South Auburn Street called seeking advice; he told authorities a dry cleaning business had his clothing and refused to give it back.




9:40 a.m. — A caller reported his parrot, which flew away two years ago, was spotted by a pet store employee three months ago at an address on the 600 block of Sutton Way.

11:13 a.m. — A caller reported vandalism by a group of transients on the 200 block of South Auburn Street.

11:25 a.m. — A caller reported seeing a drug deal take place at a park on the 400 block of Central Avenue.

12:47 p.m. — A caller on the 100 block of Rockwood Drive reported that someone had entered the apartment complex the previous night, removed a driveway light and shattered it on the ground.

1:24 p.m. — A caller reported a locked car was broken into on the 200 block of Harper Street.

2:43 p.m. — A caller on the 600 block of Brighton Street reported a suspicious box labeled “detonators” in the home’s garage.

2:46 p.m. — A caller reported a woman acting suspiciously at a gas station on the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway.

5:24 p.m. — A caller reported a bicycle being stolen from the side of a building on the 300 block of Railroad Avenue.

7:12 p.m. — A caller near Morgan Ranch and Vistamont drives reported a suspicious car cruising through the neighborhood.

7:54 p.m. — A caller on the 700 block of Old Tunnel Road reported a sulfer-like smell coming from a neighbor’s home.

9:34 p.m. — A caller reported a man lying down on the ground and grunting on the 200 block of Joerschke Drive.

5:16 a.m. — A caller reported someone broke the back door window to a business on the 100 block of Sacramento Street.

7:57 a.m. — A caller reported a man talking on his cellphone while sitting on top of a utility box on the 600 block of Chief Kelly Drive.

9:02 p.m. — A caller reported someone scrubbing the asphalt with a paper towel on the 900 block of Helling Way.

10:03 a.m. — A caller on the 14000 block of Lava Cap Mine Road reported a broken lock on the gate to his property.

12:34 p.m. — A caller reported a man panhandling in front of a business on the 10000 block of Combie Road.

12:45 p.m. — A caller on the 13300 block of Hillview Road called to report a cat bite that occurred earlier in September.

1:25 p.m. — A caller on the 123900 block of Bitney Springs Road reported the theft of a decorative bamboo plant.

2:29 p.m. — A caller reported a man loitering near a school on the 10800 block of Squirrel Creek Road.

4:04 p.m. — A caller on the 15300 block of Brewer Road reported tools and other possessions were stolen from a property he owns.

6:51 p.m. — A caller reported a man and a woman arguing in front of a house on the 10200 block of Brookside Way.

7:25 p.m. — A caller on the 14700 block of Sun Forest Drive reported a neighbor feeding a deer out of a bin.

Tuesday

2:11 a.m. — A caller on the 22400 block of East Hacienda Drive reported people partying and playing loud music in the parking lot.
