Police blotter: Caller finds blood in car wash stall; mountain lion spotted

Friday

8:53 a.m.— A man from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported a neighbor hit him in the face. He denied medical help.



10:57a.m. — A caller near Bennett Street reported a male pedestrian took a swing at the caller as he was turning onto a ramp.

1:12 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of North Church Street reported two unidentified men in suits came to the door and asked for the caller.




1:15 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported someone shoplifted drug product from a store.

1:18 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a man threw a rock to knock down a piece of fruit but broke her car window.

1:27 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Sutton Way reported fraud.

5:57 p.m. — A caller from Mill Street reported strong smell of natural gas. At 6:01 p.m. another caller reported a strong smell of gas in the area. The information was transferred to Cal Fire.

6:14 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported a woman harassed customers with a sign that says, “telepathy is real.”

6:51 p.m. — A caller from East Empire Street requested extra patrol, stating that there has been a lot of activity in the area.

8:07 p.m. — A caller near South Auburn Street and Whiting Street reported blood in the stall of a car wash store.

9:08 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported someone is shining a green and red laser into the caller’s apartment.

Saturday

11:05 a.m. — A caller near Maltman Drive and Brunswick Road reported a woman was panhandling in a very aggressive way and reached into cars. She moved along.

11:19 a.m. — A caller near Kidder Avenue and Maryland Drive reported a homeless camp at a cemetery.

1:40 p.m. — A caller near state Route 49 and Smith Road reported fire.

2:03 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Olympia Park Road found a box of needles.

7:18 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported disturbance at an apartment. An arrest was made.

7:31 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported a woman and man stole a backpack full of items from a store and took off in a matte black Ford pickup truck.

10:05 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man screaming, flailing his arms around, and jumping into traffic. He moved along.

1:14 a.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a driver in white Chevrolet Blazer or Ford Bronco snooping into vehicles at a parking lot.

10:30 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Murphy Road reported ongoing theft of mail.

10:45 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Madrona Way reported an aggressive dog at large. The dog has attacked other dogs and killed chickens in the past.

10:47 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Rollins Park Drive reported theft of tools.

10:51 a.m. — A woman from the 16000 block of state Route 49 reported someone stole her purse from an unlocked vehicle.

11:45 a.m. — Multiple people reported fire on the 13000 block of Torrey Pines Drive. According to California Highway Patrol, the fire started after a methamphetamine lab exploded.

1:27 p.m. — Someone from the 10000 block of Harmony Lane reported burglary.

1:49 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Sky Cir reported ongoing theft of gasoline.

6:12 p.m. —A caller from the 19000 block of Kneebone Court reported someone slashed his vehicle tire.

10:21 p.m. — A caller near Champion Road and Old Downieville Highway reported a transient camp in the area.

Saturday

9:17 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported theft of yard sale signs.

12:57 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Blue Tent School Road reported burglary.

4:34 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Comerate road reported she just assaulted a staff member. No injuries were reported.

5:42 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Kneebone Court reported a man was looking into the barns and outbuildings in the area and requested extra patrol in the evening.

6:22 p.m. — A caller near Mooney Flat Road and Marina Drive reported hearing multiple shots fired.

10:32 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Robinson Road reported attack by a mountain lion.

Sunday

12:32 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Rough and Ready Road reported a vehicle going back and forth in the area. The vehicle was not spotted upon an area check.
