Nevada County Police Blotter: Suspect breaks into vehicle, leaves card with name on it

Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

8:45 a.m. — A caller from West Empire Street reported a truck hit a fence, which caused the fence to hit the caller’s vehicle. A report was taken.

10:11 a.m. — A caller from Silver Springs High School reported drugs.

12:37 p.m. — A man from Nevada City Highway reported his vehicle had been broken into and the suspect left a card with their name on it.

1:16 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Mill Street reported a truck clipped at least two vehicles, taking off both vehicles’ mirrors.

3:11 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Plaza Drive reported a man with a guitar and two others sleeping in the trees and throwing up in the parking lot. A person was cited on unknown charges.

4:57 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported the theft of a bike.

9:19 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported a man on meth and acting out. He said he drank acid.

Thursday

5:46 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Idaho Maryland Road reported hearing men in a truck talking about breaking into houses. No one was located.

Wednesday

12:31 a.m. — A caller from Scotts Flat campground reported a woman trying to fight people and hitchhike home. She was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing a controlled substance.

7:14 a.m. — A caller from Judy Lane reported a fawn with a broken leg stuck in a fence. It could not be located.

8:24 a.m. — A caller from Indian Springs Road and Falling Leaf Lane reported a man checking all the mailboxes. He could not be located.

9:55 a.m. — A caller from Annie Drive reported working on a property when the homeowner came out with a handgun and pointed it at the caller. The man was cited on a citizen’s arrest for brandishing a weapon and his concealed carry weapon permit was confiscated for review.

11:17 a.m. — A caller from Lake Wildwood golf course reported four people involved in a fight.

11:24 a.m. — A caller from Idaho Maryland Road and Madrone Forest Drive reported a fawn with lacerations and an injury to a back leg. It could not be located.

12:22 p.m. — A man from Chaparral Drive reported he gave a firearm to a firearm dealer in June 2018 and never got it back. A report was taken.

2:23 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Shamrock Mine Court reported identity theft.

3:18 p.m. — A caller from Harmony Ridge Road reported two mailboxes had been broken into and mail stolen.
