Nevada County Police Blotter: Officers deal with neighbors who like to gripe

Grass Valley Police Department
7:56 a.m. — A caller near the corner of Morgan Ranch Drive and Ridge Road identified themselves as a bus driver trying to left from Morgan Ranch onto Ridge but the light was staying red.
10:36 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported a man in a laundromat trying to take clothes who appeared to be under the influence, and had a "weird concoction that you carry a bag inside." There was also a man sitting in a van for several hours staring into the laundromat.
11:57 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Carol Drive reported a dog breaking into his yard.
1:28 p.m. — A caller from the 1300 block of East Main Street reported someone had been drinking heavily and acting manically.

6:01 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Packard Drive reported a package was delivered and the caller's daughter opened it and it contained about two pounds of marijuana.
10:50 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Highlands Court reported a suspicious vehicle driving through the complex possibly casing the area. There was one person in the vehicle.
11:09 p.m. — A person was stopped on the 800 block of Sutton Way. A person was arrested on charges of possession of paraphernalia.

8:26 a.m. — A caller from Noel Lane reported theft of items from an unlocked vehicle.
9:08 a.m. — A caller from Marin Place reported a skunk possibly in distress in the caller's yard.
12:31 p.m. — A caller from Milhous Drive requested pickup of a detained great Pyrenees that was wandering around on the property again.
2:37 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Footwall Drive and Gold Hill Drive reported a dog at large that was aggressively charging at the caller. The caller said the dog has a history of the same behavior.
4:34 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Brewer Road and Lodestar Drive reported a vehicle occupied by two males and the males were going through mailboxes.
7:31 p.m. — A caller from Cobblestone Lane reported the son causing a disturbance and breaking things before disconnecting. On callback the son answered and said there was a verbal fight and he broke a plate. The son requested no law enforcement because the original caller would lie about him.
7:47 p.m. — A caller from Table Meadow Road reported someone trying to set the caller's house on fire and the person had guns. The caller's brother was on the scene but refused to call because he had been beaten up by the subject before. The subject said he was going to kill the caller and set her dogs on fire. An arrest was made on charges of threatening a crime with intent to terrorize.

12:15 p.m. — A caller form the 200 block of Commercial Street reported an 18 month old locked in a vehicle. The caller said the child was playing with the keys and accidentally locked himself in.
2:45 p.m. — A caller reported a neighbor banging on a wall and screaming profanities. Another caller advised someone banging on her door claiming to be with the police. The situation was mediated between neighbors who like to gripe.
