Nevada County Police Blotter: Man advised to close social media account after sending embarrassing picture

9:54 a.m. — A caller near the intersection of the Golden Center Freeway and South Auburn Street reported a road rage situation. A vehicle followed the caller into a parking lot but then left.
4:02 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported someone had locked himself in a bathroom with a bottle of vodka. The caller said the person then went in front of the store and could hardly stand.
5:21 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Richardson Street reported someone turned the power off to his residence and he believed the person was lying in wait in the red zone with flashers on. The vehicle then left and the caller wanted an officer to respond so he could turn his power back on.
5:53 p.m. — A caller from the 1800 block of East Main Street reported someone who possibly matched the description of the suspected shooter in North San Juan.
6:23 p.m. — A person was stopped on the 100 block of Scotia Pines Circle. A person was arrested on charges of three failure to appears, showing a possibly false registration and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
4:26 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Mill Street reported a vehicle stolen. Dispatch called the caller back and advised him his vehicle had been towed by the California Highway Patrol and was at a local tow yard.

9:52 a.m. — A caller from Banner Lava Cap Road reported two different burglaries on Saturday and Wednesday.
10:23 a.m. — A caller from Connie Drive reported someone set up a yellow tent between the caller’s property and another property and the caller would like them moved along. Officers found an unoccupied sun shade.
12:38 p.m. — A caller from Glen Meadow Drive reported he was being extorted on social media. A woman asked to see a photo of the caller’s genitals. He sent the photo and then she was demanding money or she would send it to the caller’s friends and family. The woman claimed to be from Italy but wanted the caller to send the money to Ivory Coast, Africa. The caller was told he may consider deactivating his social media account.
1:54 p.m. — A caller from Aurora Circle reported someone acting suspicious and making strange noises. He had locked himself into a bathroom for two hours. It was unknown if the person was high or just drunk.
2:10 p.m. — A caller from Clover Valley Road reported a disturbance going on at a residence. The caller said he wasn’t there but his wife and other children were and the subject was making threats of bodily harm, holding them against their will and not letting anyone call for help. An arrest was made on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance and obstruction/resisting a public officer.
5:51 p.m. — A caller from Lakeshore North reported a tree down on the property blocking the driveway and landed on her vehicles.
5:56 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Idaho Maryland Road and Silk Tassle Circle reported a tree across the road.
6:10 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Tyler Foote Crossing Road and Grizzly Hill Road reported it was snowing and she needed a plow out and she was stuck on the side of the road.
6:51 p.m. — A caller from Vicki Drive reported arriving home and there were lights on inside the main house and an out building.
10:30 p.m. — A caller from Pittsburg Mine Road reported a bear circling the property.

8:12 p.m. — A person on the 100 block of Bridge Street was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, failure to appear and possession of marijuana over 28.5 grams.
12:09 a.m. — A person was arrested for public intoxication.
1:46 a.m. — A person on the 200 block of Commercial Street was arrested on charges of public intoxication.
2:34 a.m. — A person was stopped near the corner of Bourbon Hill Road and Nevada Street. A person was arrested on charges of driving under the influence.
10:39 p.m. — A person on the 400 block of Nimrod Street was arrested for making loud and unreasonable noises while at the warming shelter.
