Nevada County Police Blotter: ‘Closed Register’ sign takes flight

8:17 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man in the restroom for the past 45 minutes and when staff questioned if he’s OK he keeps yelling and cursing. The man eventually left.
9:04 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of West Olympia Drive reported theft of bicycles from a truck bed. Upon contact, the caller wanted a log entry only regarding theft of tail lights from a truck, no bicycles were involved.
10:42 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Colfax Avenue reported a vehicle with clothes hanging in the window.
11:46 a.m. — A caller near the corner of McCourtney Road and Mill Street reported a vehicle into a guardrail. The driver left and said they would be back after getting their dog.
12:09 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way Reported a man in the bathroom for an hour throwing up and refusing to come out. An arrest was made on charges of public intoxication and trespassing.
12:33 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East McKnight Way reported a customer just threw a “closed register” sign at an employee.
1:16 p.m. — A person was stopped on the 800 block of Sutton Way. A person was arrested on charges of receiving known stolen property.
7:45 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Sutton Way reported three transient men congregating at the end of a hall. The caller said they were charging their phones and smoking marijuana and requested they be moved along.
2:24 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Union Jack Street and Bennett Street reported a vehicle with tarps all over it and the doors open. The caller saw one person leave and another was inside the vehicle. Officers found the subject attempting to get jumper cables to start his vehicle.

4:33 a.m. — A caller near the corner of North Bloomfield Graniteville Road and Highway 49 reported a tree in the road and hung up.
6:25 a.m. — A caller near the corner of Allison Ranch Road and McCourtney Road reported a tree hanging over the road.
8:39 a.m. — A caller from Wildwood Ranch Road reported a light seen on the bottom of the caller’s property for about a week. The caller believed someone was possibly trespassing or living on the caller’s property.
9:12 a.m. — A caller from Rudd Road reported someone took the caller’s keys and left in the caller’s vehicle. The caller said it occurred three days previous and has been attempting to get the person to return the vehicle. The caller called back to say the person brought the vehicle back and he didn’t want to press charges.
10:32 a.m. — A caller from Quail Lane reported a roommate stealing drugs from her.
11:56 a.m. — A caller from Cherry Hill Place reported a pressure washer in his garage that was not his and a possible theft to a residence.
1:18 p.m. — A caller from Rock Creek Road reported her tire was slashed at her residence.
1:33 p.m. — A caller near the intersection of Highway 20 and Scotts Flat Road reported a tree coming down across the highway.
2:32 p.m. — A caller from Wolf Creek Road reported a yellow and blue tent at the bottom of her property and she was unsure if someone was in it. Officers found an unoccupied tent which appeared to have blown onto the property during the storm.
9:47 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 reported someone is hacking into the caller’s email and social media.
11:20 p.m. — A caller from Crystal Wells Road reported hearing about eight gunshots possibly from the Red Dog area. Another caller reported the same thing, saying they heard 12 shots.
