Nevada County police blotter: Caller reports shampoo theft

Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

7:08 a.m. — A caller from the 900 block of McCourtney Road reported a woman harassing and yelling at workers. About an hour later a caller reported the woman was still on the property, and she was escorted off the property. At 9:18 a.m., a caller reported the woman was still there and screaming and threatening people. She was contacted and released to a county social services employee.

8:32 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 900 block of Sutton Way reported a man threatened him with a knife. The victim was gone when an officer arrived. Several people were contacted and advised to move on.

11:08 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of West Main Street reported a juvenile was armed with a knife and being physical with staff. The juvenile was taken to the hospital and then cited for vandalism and battery.

12:26 p.m. — A caller from Silver Springs High School reported narcotics.

1:39 p.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported people smoking marijuana and drinking.

1:40 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported the theft of shampoo from a gym bag.

2:09 p.m. — A caller reported someone asked him to lie in court for them.

2:21 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported a woman who was mad and screaming because she didn’t have a lighter. She was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, as well as an outstanding warrant.

3:03 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1100 block of Sutton Way reported a man yelling and harassing people. He said someone stole his backpack, but he did not want to file a report.

10:56 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported someone came in with “drug materials.”

6:09 a.m. — A caller from Mystic Mine Court reported mailboxes had been vandalized.

9:36 a.m. — A caller from Ridge Estates Road reported a residential burglary with someone breaking a garage door and stealing a safe.

10:26 a.m. — A caller from Highway 30 and Casci Road reported vandalism to a residence.

12:27 p.m. — A caller from Amber Street reported two dogs attacked another dog.

12:32 p.m. — A caller from Jennifer Drive reported finding a bone that appeared to have been cut by a saw. The bone didn’t appear to be human. A report was taken.

2:53 p.m. — A caller from Wildflower Drive reported receiving a fraudulent check in a phishing attempt.

3:08 p.m. — A caller from Tall Oak Place reported a theft.

7:02 p.m. — A caller from Francis Drive reported a physical fight involving two women, who then were reported to be dragging each other up the stairs by their hair.

9:44 p.m. — A caller from Wolf and Combie roads reported a drunken woman had been driving and her car keys were taken away. She was followed to a gas station and punched the woman who took her keys. The victim of the assault did not want to press charges. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

3:37 p.m. — A man from Searls Avenue reported another man climbed a fence, came after him and made threats to harm him.

7:10 p.m. — An officer was requested to help deal with a drunken combative patient at Spring and Bridge streets.
