Nevada County Police Blotter: Caller calls cops on crying cows

Sunday

7:22 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported being a taxi driver and having problems with a fare not paying and throwing items around.

11:48 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glasson Way requested someone be removed. An arrest was made on charges of trespassing.

12:10 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Church Street reported she was out with a woman and two children that were begging for money and it was a scam.

5:12 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man with his daughter threatened to punch the caller in the face. The altercation started when the caller told him to move out of the fire lane.

5:38 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glasson Way reported an unwanted transient laying his sleeping bag in front of the sidewalk of the emergency room, refusing to leave.

6:13 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Plaza Drive reported someone just threatened to beat him up after being told to leave the property. An arrest was made on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance, trespassing and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.

9:18 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Richardson Street reported a fight between multiple men who were drunk. There were also some women involved who were being pushed by a vehicle. Another caller advised the same. The calls were unfounded and it was a verbal fight among friends.

2:01 a.m. — A caller from East Bennett Road reported noise pollution from a mining operation that never stopped.

7:03 a.m. — A caller near the corner of Lake Wildwood drive and Pleasant Valley Road reported a stray cat at the main gate. The caller said if you open your car door the cat will jump inside.

8:08 a.m. — A caller near the corner of Sunshine Valley Road and Lower Colfax Road reported two cows in a field on the corner crying. The caller had never seen cows there before.

9:59 a.m. — A caller from La Barr Meadows Road reported his brother having two guns still and had anger issues.

12:20 p.m. — A caller near the intersection of Highway 20 and Scotts Flat Road reported the driver of a semi aggressively tailgating.

1:30 p.m. — A caller from Auburn Road reported the landlord was in the house and planned on staying there. She entered without notice.

4:08 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Banner Lava Cap Road and Pittsburg Road requested assistance for baby pigs in the road.

5:40 p.m. — A caller from Connie Drive reported a neighbor on the property calling the caller's children's names.

8:48 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Miwok Path and Valley View Road reported complaining of loud music somewhere in the area. The caller was advised there was no noise ordinance and that it wasn't even 9 p.m. yet. The caller requested the house playing music be located and asked to keep it down.

11:39 p.m. — A caller from Combie Road was continuously calling Cal Fire, waking up the shift, talking nonsense and yelling and threatening. The caller called screaming about the Paradise Fire Chief not issuing proper citations. The caller called back complaining about Mexicans.

1:14 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Main Street reported a homeless man upstairs refusing to leave.

9:17 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported something suspicious. An arrest was made on charges of disorderly conduct and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.

Friday

1:24 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Coyote Street reported a vehicle with the trunk open and a shotgun in the trunk. It had been there for the last five to six hours.

8:52 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported wanting to know if her vehicle had been towed from Boreal Ski Resort. The caller was advised to call Boreal and also advised of inappropriate use of 911.

Saturday

8:09 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Brock Road reported theft of a vehicle overnight. The keys were accounted for. The vehicle was recovered by Yuba City Police Department.

10:19 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported a drunk woman slammed her door into the caller's vehicle, then stumbled into the vehicle.

1:54 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Searls Avenue and Ridge Road reported a reckless driver brake-checked other drivers. When asked which direction they were headed, the caller kept saying "they squirreled around."

3:29 p.m. — A caller near the corner of Uren Street and Nevada Street reported a large amount of smoke in the area. A second call was wondering why she hadn't heard sirens or anything and if they were investigating it.

9:11 p.m. — A caller from Zion Street reported multiple men in a fight. An arrest was made on charges of public intoxication.

Sunday

7:46 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Gethsemane Street reported a man in the backyard threatening to blow up the house and the woman inside. An arrest was made on charges of driving on a suspended license.

10:53 a.m. — A person was stopped on Gates Place. A person was arrested on charges of two counts of failure to appear and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
