Nevada County blotter: Caller reports repeated theft of decorative rocks

Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

8:31 a.m.— A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Street reported a man was selling drugs out of a vehicle.



9:40 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a man armed with a hammer was yelling and trying to break into an apartment.

10:25 a.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Idaho Maryland Road reported vandalism of a picnic table and a gazebo.




1:51 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Litton Drive reported transients tried to flood her rental house by turning on the water outside her residence.

6:41 p.m. — A caller near Brighton and Minnie streets reported a hit and run. An arrest was made.

7:35 p.m. — A caller near Neal and South Auburn streets reported a man with full beard was loitering for marijuana on the sidewalk.

9:43 p.m. — A man near Richardson and Alta streets reported that he was assaulted by the owner of a property while he traversed the land.

Monday

3:39 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Joerschke Drive reported a man was loitering outside the back of a building in the area.

Sunday

10:52 a.m. — A caller at Highway 49 and Independence Trail reported that someone had slashed her vehicle’s tires.

11:36 a.m. — A caller on Penn Valley Drive reported a teen wandering through a park. The teen appeared disheveled and didn’t know how she’d arrived at the park. At the same time a man called dispatchers and said his daughter was kidnapped.

1:57 p.m. — A caller at Highway 20 and Conservation Road reported that a woman has repeatedly taken decorative rocks from the base of a nearby sign.

6:28 p.m. — A caller on Old Mill Road reported that a suspect choked her, pulled her hair and then broke her windshield.

12:50 p.m. — A caller in the 400 block of Nimrod Street reported a man skateboarding in a parking lot while holding a 6 to 8-inch knife. The man followed two teen girls up the Deer Creek Trail while holding the knife.

5:25 p.m. — A caller at Broad and South Pine streets reported an aggressive panhandler.
