Citizens, if you take garbage to the transfer station please take care not to scatter your garbage down the entire length of McCourtney Road. This means you, too, Waste Management! I called the transfer station to complain about a pile of cardboard dumped in my yard by a WM truck. Ten minutes after my call, Bob Elder, the facilities manager of the station (a county employee) personally showed up to pick up the litter. I was very impressed. I had earlier called WM to complain and was brushed off; they said they might be out Tuesday. Also, WM drivers need to slow down so as not to run over the elderly lady who crosses the road to get her mail.
