Conklin’s commitment

My romance with buildings started early, as my stepfather was a builder and my mother was a docent on the Adobe Tours of Monterey. Weekends as a teenager were often spent looking at unique modern and historic buildings. I was first licensed as a general contractor in 1975 and was certified as a CREIA home inspector about three years ago.

I first met Bruce Conklin last year when he requested a whole house inspection on three buildings on the North Star property. The first thing I noticed about Mr. Conklin was his enthusiasm and commitment to the project. The North Star House is an elegant structure suffering from a long period of neglect. Nevada County is fortunate indeed that Bruce Conklin had the vision as a supervisor and the expertise as a project manager to initiate the restoration of this irreplaceable historical treasure.
